# Deposits & Funding

Since Onyx is **self-custodial**, you do not deposit funds "into" Onyx. Instead, you fund a safe proxy wallet which is derived using thirdweb's wallet derivation tools.

## Supported Assets

Onyx operates with **USDC.e** on the **Polygon** network as this is what is used for polymarket.

### How to Fund

1. **Purchase USDC**: Buy USDC.e on the Polygon network on a centralized exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken).
2. **Withdraw to Polygon**: Withdraw your USDC to your wallet address on the Polygon network.
3. **Transfer from Browser Wallet**: Alternatively, if you have USDC.e in your browser wallet, you can transfer it to the safe proxy wallet.
